DANYA! (DAN-YUH)

Danya Smith is a visual artist from Richmond, Virginia. After receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture + Extended Media, Danya spent the next few years pursuing a career in visual arts and selling handmade clothing.

She later inherited the job of part-time caretaker for her grandmother, and her days at home were suddenly spent obsessing over cake. After a delicious first attempt, she realized she wanted to know everything there was to know about cake decorating and baking.

 

Danya has been baking since 2017, and making hyper-realistic cakes since 2018. She's solely involved in all aspects of creation, including (but not limited to) photographing, filming, and editing her cake content. She can be seen crafting her cake art in the newest season of "Is It Cake Too?" on Netflix.
